Brian M. Colby, Principal
Brian is a graduate of Stony Brook University with a B.A. in economics and business. Prior to insurance, Brian worked for an international chemical distributor in sales and finance.
He began his insurance career in 1992 as an agent for a captive insurance carrier, later to become a founding principal of BNC Insurance Agency, an independent brokerage firm directly representing most of the top national and regional insurance carriers in the U.S.
In addition to sales and client relations, Brian's responsibilities include overseeing agency operations and finance, working with the firms production staff, and developing risk management tools and client resources.
Brian is an active member of the insurance and risk management industry as he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Professional Insurance Agents Westchester-Rockland Advisory Council as well as a Board Member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Westchester County. Additionally, Brian serves on the advisory council for several insurance carriers.

John Cofini, Principal
John leads the New York construction insurance practice at BNC Insurance. Together with his team, John helps contractors, developers and property owners lower their total cost of risk with tailored insurance and risk management strategies.
As a long-time partner to the New York construction industry, John has developed expertise in protecting contractors against the complex risks that are unique to the construction industry - and to the great state of New York. John helps business leaders analyze their loss data, benchmark their performance, and position their companies as appealing risks to secure the best insurance solutions. As an Acrisure agency partner, BNC can provide contractors with access to the nation's top construction insurance carriers and programs as well as risk management advocacy and guidance.
R. Todd Rockefeller, Principal
Todd Rockefeller is a principal with BNC Insurance & Risk Advisors, with expertise in business and high net worth personal insurance planning. Acting as a trusted advisor for successful individuals and families, Todd delivers a high level of protection and attention to detail with his 28 years of industry experience.
After graduating from Gettysburg College with a BA in Political Science, Todd began his insurance career with Aetna Life & Casualty, Hanover Insurance, and ManagedComp, in underwriting and sales capacities before joining DeRosa, Rockefeller, Sohigian & Werdal, Inc. (DRSW) Insurance in 1998. He joined BNC in 2017, following the firm’s merger with DRSW.
Recognized as an industry leader, Todd has served on carrier National Advisory Councils, is a Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Westchester County (IIAWC), and past Chair for the Independent Agents and Brokers of New York (IIABNY) at the state level. He is the 2012 recipient of the Frederick H. Dayton Award for distinguished service to the Independent Agents of Westchester and to his community, and the 2012 recipient of the Father of Year Award, presented by the American Diabetes Association.
Paul G Sohigian, CIC, Principal
Paul is a graduate of Iona College with a BBA in Marketing, and an MBA in Organizational Behavior. He is also a Colorado Outward Bound graduate.
With over 30 years of experience in insurance agency ownership, management and sales, his business was built both organically and through a series of mergers and acquisitions. As a former principal with DeRosa, Rockefeller, Sohigian & Werdal, Inc., Paul was thrilled to merge with BNC in 2017.
At BNC, Paul works closely coordinating customer service, office efficiencies and sales. He is first and foremost an advocate and an advisor for clients, with a simple goal of helping BNC's clients to protect what’s important to them.
Paul serves or has served on a number of regional and national insurance company advisory boards, his association board, is active with the Pleasantville Lions, and is a former town Planning Commission member. The SPCA of Briarcliff Manor, Blythedale Children’s Hospital and our local food banks are important to him and his family. He is the 2020 recipient of the Frederick H. Dayton Award for distinguished service to the Independent Agents of Westchester and to his community.
Paul and his wife, Beth live in Pleasantville, NY and have two grown children.

Onofrio A. Colabella, CIC, Founding Partner
Onofrio “Noff” Colabella passed away in January 2018. He was not only a founding partner at BNC Insurance Agency, but also a dear friend, colleague and mentor to many. Since BNC’s inception in 1997, Noff was an instrumental part of our growth and success.
He was a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Business Administration. Prior to entering the insurance field Noff owned and operated his own construction firm in Westchester County, NY. He began his insurance career in 1992 as a captive agent with Nationwide Insurance focusing on commercial insurance in the construction industry. In 1997 along with his partner, Brian Colby, he formed BNC Insurance Agency.
Noff will be dearly missed but never forgotten. BNC will continue to carry on with its vision, as Noff would have wanted.
